They quoted me so I don't believe the too many mods statement, especially as they're modified specialists!

Well i just phoned them. What a ******. Went through usualy name address etc. Listed remap to 160bhp, rear anti roll bar and octavia vrs front brakes. Wont insure me. Said for the power upgrade they wont insure me. Asked what if I removed the remap he said sorry to heavly mod'd and hung up before I could say anything. :thumbdwn:

Yep greenlight. guy just didnt want to know. Might phone back in a min for a standard car to see what they say.

the only reason i didnt go with them was they were using highway insurance which didnt have a very good rep at the time, and AF is someone called equity red star

AF came back to beat Greenlights quote by another 20 quid, protected NCB, free legal cover and courtesy car.. and Swmbo on the policy at no extra cost.

so by phoning round ive saved

I never had anything under Additional Information in my email yesterday.

I'm with Admiral at the moment and found them to be the best so far. All I can adive is that everyone searches for insurance through confused.com etc, then ring them up and ask for a further discount. Then ring your existing insurer and tell them to beat those quotes. It takes a lot of time and effort but if youw ant to save money then thats the way to go unfortunately.

Another thing that may help to save you money is to see what exactly is in your policy and to remove the things you don't need. The main things people take are NCB protection and Legal Cover. Other than that, things like breakdown cover, personal accident cover, courtesy cars etc are just extras that may be included but you may not need them.
