why not just get one that plays MP3s and be done with it?

or a 10/12 disc changer.

I have the mkII without the mp3 attachment thing in the centre consol. I wasnt aware you could play mp3s through the older model.!!!

You should be able to replace the factory fit CD Changer with one that is MP3 compatable. I am still thinking about putting the IPod interface in my car, which does disable the CD Changer - but think even with a 4gb Nano I can get more songs then 6 standard CD's.

If you got the larger IPod thats 80gb you'll never look back

12.... Greeeedy!!!!!

:)

You can get an OEM Ipod connector that replaces the CD Changer. You could also get a VW Phatbox which is effectively a Hard Disk that connects to the CD Changer cabling.

If you've got a Skoda II 2007 car do you get the MP3 connector in the jumbo box and a cd changer in the boot ? Or is it one or the other?

Yes in the Octavia II 2007 MY cars you get both.

What kind of price is a phatbox and is it simply a case of pushing it into the rack in the boot and plugging the cable in. or is there a little more involved.!!!

Google will be your answer here my friend.

Loads of info out there including it's own website etc. I understand there is a very respected US seller on eBay that offers them for a good price.
