Whats this switch for?

Featured Replies

OK, before anyone says anything I have tried to find this is the manual :)

There is a 'sliding switch' on top of the indicator stalk - whats this for? It has on and off on it but not sure what it does!

Thanks

Cruise Control?

Have you tried pressing it? I'd guess at cruise control :D

cheers guys don't think its cruise, thats on the steering wheel (unless this is an off/on function of that) :o

If cruise is on the end of the stalk then there is an on/off on the top of the stalk, wether this on/off function remains on the stalk after the button as been moved from the stalk to the wheel only you can tell:D

The sliding switch on the laft hand stalk is cruise on/off.

THe controls on the whell and the rocker on the end of the stalk are the set and adjust speed buttons.

Used this on a car this weekend myself.

Yep..as above cruise control on and off on indicator stalk....select your speed with the steering wheel buttons

But why is it there? When would you ever use it? Mine is permanently on, and I set/cancel the cruise as I require.

I can only guess that it's there for legal reasons to allow the system to be completely disabled, to provide a defence in case some numpty should hit the "set" button inadvertantly and then plough into something.
