I went today to my skoda dealer to buy a set of new black carpets for my wife 2001 Octavia Combi.

The set of 4 Original Skoda carpets with Skoda logo on the side was US$29.95 So for that price I tell the guy to give me another set for my 2002 Octavia L&K with beige interior. The guy was looking on his computer for stock and then the guy toll me that the beige ones are more expesive and they selled separatelly. I tell the guy that only give the 2 front ones and then the guy says: Each one cost US$59.95 :eek: at the same time the guy was like and he says that he dont undertand if the black set of 4 cost US$29.95 how come the beige ones are more expesive.

He then go to check with the manager to see if this was a price error and is was not a price error.

I just got the black set for my wife and went home.....................

So can you belive this thing??? Just because the carpets are for a L&K they want to OVERCHARGE!:thumbdwn:

That's a real rip-off.

If they're both the same size/fit, it may be an idea to get some fabric dye spray in beige from an upholstery shop (about 20 USD) and spray them. You could always try it out on a single piece first. Easier to change Beige to black than vice versa, tho'...
