As told in this forum already, there will be no more production of Audience HU. Today I was picked by my salesman who gave me a lift. He was driving Roomster and had new HU that is supposed to replace Audience. I forgot the name of that HU but as I played a bit with it, it has all adjustments like the Audience, 6CD changer incorporated and as it was in the dark I've seen that ilumination makes it look nicer then Audience

That looks like a single cd unit, as it has no controls for the autochanger on the front. There also seem to be a number of functions missing that the audience has.

Yes, it looked like that one... And it accepts 6CD's.

I know there is multi CD's button missing, but to eject CD's you just press "eject" button and to charge it you just put the CD's in, one by one, and they go to first empty slot.

That sounds more like it is an option rather than an integral part of the HU?

Well, I was probably wrong. As I played with unit I've seen, pressing the "CD" button, it gives the choice from CD1 to CD6. Now I realized it might be command for exterior 6CD's box.

Here I have the question:

If Audience has finished in production, is there going to be some other HU with same caracteristics? 6 CD's in HU? Has anybody seen something like that or heard about it?

Have not seen anything like it, I like the audience. The changer in the dash is so convienient, as is the fact it can be loaded with six discs full of mp3s.

Just one more question.

Actual HU's (Stream for example) with 6CD's changer attached, do they read details from MP3 file (Song name, artist, album etc)? Do CD changers read MP3 and if yes, do they transfer MP3 details mentioned above?

In Roomster, I liked the remote on the left of the seering wheel. I prefer that one better then buttons on the steering. Maybe the remote will come with all future models. I have one in my company's Renault Megane Break and it works better when driving in the city as the steering wheel is almost never in straight position so it's difficult to find the buttons on it. At least, remote is always on the same place.

I love my Audience, but as I'm always thinking of future, I'll be sad if when I change the car I'll have to attach the 6 CD's changer.

Yes, the Stream MP3 HU does give info from the disk. It definitely displays the track title, but I don't know about artist, album etc as I haven't played with it.

The 6CD changer in the boot doesn't play MP3 disks. If you put one in, it says "CD-ROM" on the head unit and moves on to the next disk. I assume if you have the CD changer in the HU, all 6 disks can be MP3's.
