Interior color opinions wanted

Featured Replies

I have more or less decided to buy my first Skoda, a Octavia L&K 1.9 TDI DSG. My wife and I are currently trying to decide on the color. We have more or less agreed that the exterior color shall be Flamenco Red og Iceland Green, but we have some doubts about interior color.

I like the Ivory color as I think the Onyx is rather dull. I have also noticed that almost every Octavia I see have the dull, dark interior. But I find the Ivory interior looking so much more pleasant in the photos.

I would like to have the impression of the ones who have had Ivory interior for a while. Does it still look at pleasant after a few years or does it easily get dirty and hard to keep clean.

And have anyone seen Flamenco Red/Ivory combination in RL?

BTW, the L&K have Duo Leather/fabric in Norway.

I have Onyx Duo and till now it's the most pleasant combination for me, as it's my 9th car. Two of my previous cars have had light colors interiors and they realy get dirty quickly. I would never go back to light interiors

Wanted the beige interior in my L&K saw one looked great. However not very practicle as the salesman pointed out gets dirty very quickly and hard to keep clean,so went for the onyx and very pleased I did.seen a Octy with the beige interior looks scruffy.

My dad has an Elegance in the Flamenco Red/Beige combination. He didn't pick it and never would have. He got the option of a new car on an old plate kind of thing. (06 in september with 10 miles on the clock). He was told that it was the dark interior but then informed that it would be beige. He nearly laid an egg for a few days before he saw it in the flesh. I have to say it looks really good. I wouldn't have picked it either, but it is really nice. As a precaution though, he got the inside and out scotchguarded. He's had it about 6 weeks now with no marks.

Hope this helps.

I have a Graphite Grey Elegance with the Ivory interior as I too hate dark upholstery, far too depressing!

I would definitely agree with the previous poster tho', get it Scotchguarded! I've had mine since July and I've had to shampoo the drivers seat a couple of times (although you might not eat as much chocolate as I do when driving).

I think Skoda made a mistake putting beige carpet in the footwells, I dread to think what it will look like after this winter........

Prof.

I had a light interior in my Fabia Elegance and it made the car feel roomier (maybe not a problem in an Octy 2). I didn't find it got any dirtier than a dark one would have.

If you go for the all leather seats, choose the ivory colour! You have to vipe it down quite often but it sure looks nice! The leather cleaning spray from Auto.Glym works perfect.

Mythos, my favourit greek beer!
