Cruise Control Retrofit

Featured Replies

I've just had my fabia retrofitted with cruise control by Stu from Fabia-vRS.com, He did a great job and I'm well please with the result. Much more relaxing on the Motorway. Stu obviously knows his stuff and I'd recommend him if anyone is thinking of having this done.:)

I always thought Cruise was a waste of time on British roads until I borrowed a Mondeo Ghia for a trip to Birmingham, the cruise was very handy and was great as I usually get an ache in my ankle after a while on the Motorway, I wish I had specified it on my Fabia, Where is Stu based

He's down in Hampshire IIRC - so a bit of a way for you. There are other people offering fitting. PM 'Big K' - he doesn't post his location publicly, but may be a little nearer for you.

Alternatively, some of the tuners offer a service too - JBS and Awesome spring to mind, but neither are in your neck of the woods either  - looks like you may have a bit of drive on your hands, but at least the drive back will allow significant testing and be more relaxing :D

HTH,

Thanks for the info, I may consult my dealer but I think it would be a fair bit more than than the

No probs. I'd scan on here for dealers that may have done it in the past, otherwise you may get crap about it invalidating warranty etc etc - you know what they're like these days!

It also may also just get stupid quotes from the ones that are willing to retro-fit it for you. If it were me, I'd stick with the skilled enthusiast/technician approach, or independant outfit. Easy all round me thinks

Steve

Yes I am based in Hampshire. Big K is a little closer to you and may well help you out or if you are ever in the area then drop me a line and I'll do it for you.
