Hi everyone.....thought I'd say hello...been busy lately so haven't had much spare time (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it). Actually I've read a lot of threads already mainly to get some general opinions re tuning companies for my Skoda. Most owners seemed to favour Jabbasport so I finally got round to booking my car in (Merchant Navy so it can be difficult to organise stuff to coincide with my leave sometimes). Bit of a trek but it was well worth it. For anyone considering Jabbasport don't be put off by the industrial/farm type building they work from as this is no back-street cowboy fitter outfit.

I was very impressed by the professional attitude the staff displayed, the workshop was clean, the lads there were clean and so was my car when they finished with it. The waiting area was just as comfy "as advertised", even the blooming toilets were immaculate!

For those wanting techy stuff instead of waffle, had my Oct VRS custom remapped, Induction kit and dump valve fitted. Final output figure was 232.9 Cv (French HP) which'll do nicely for now. Next step will probably be a full Milltek exhaust next spring and when I can afford it a turbo upgrade (maybe this time next year).

Do I like my car? let's see....bland appearance, rain runs off back window into boot, black paint a pig to look after....um, that's it. Fuel economy excellent, it's a quiet cruiser for those long journeys, fit and finish v good, cheap to insure (but that's cos I'm an old f**t), but goes like stink when I ask it to. Oh and they're cheap to buy in the first place. What was it someone once said..."I bought the car not the badge". See ya.:)
