SEAT Leon 1.9 TDi PD Cupra versus a Ferrari Modena!!!

Featured Replies

This maybe in the wrong forum but I think here it will get wider appeal, read on...

...here I was, looking through pages and pages of the internet for Fabia vRS details, when an advert for the new SEAT Leon 1.9 TDi PD Cupra appears on the telly.

This is a new engine for the Leon and it in standard trim develops 150BHP. I maybe wrong but I think it's the same engine as the one in my beloved Fabia vRS, but with a higher tune.

Anyway, in looking then for pictures of the new and handsome diesel Cupra, I came across this European (.sk) website. What I saw was something that has changed my mind once and for all about this humble VAG diesel engine. Take a look yourself at the videos of it performing to see just why this engine is TOTALLY UNREAL! :D

...oh and one final note, further down the page there are 3 pictures of a yellow racing Fabia, which I think looks great too.

Enjoy. I did!

Man that Yellow Octy looks stupid with the chrome door handles and boot intake, would have looked better standard. The Leon looked quick though as a diesel!!

Hells teeth! :D

I'd missed that Octavia!

I also missed another Fabia http://www.maxtdi.com/fotoNitra/DSC00180.JPG

...and a Felicia http://www.maxtdi.com/fotoNitra/DSC00194.JPG

Not to mention all the other Octavia's that are being used as 'tugs' etc.

That VAG diesel just toasts the Ferrari! Genius.

Here for those who also missed it on the first go...

Yikes. It's scary what those continental types do to their cars ain't it?

I want my Mommy!

The engine is a 150bhp version of the pd130 and it is used in the VWs from the golf upwards. The main differences are a larger turbo which is oil(?) cooled and the remapped ECU.

CERTAINLY NOT! That 1.9TDI has been SERIOUSLY tinkered with those Continental types.

Just been looking at their site and found this:

I could swear that the black car on the left is a Skoda Fabia? If it is, then I dig the double rear exhausts! (Found at http://www.maxtdi.com/autosalon/page_01.htm)

:D

Its the Leon 4 (4 wheel drive) PD 150, chipped to just over 200bhp and then a 100shot of nitrous with bigger injectors,

and if you watch the video, you see it go bang at the end with all the white smoke

Going back to the yellow Octy with the crap bonnet scoop etc... whats with the ferrari badge below the wing mirrors????????

We do a dual exit exhaust for the Fabia, its a Remus item

and if you watch the video' date=' you see it go bang at the end with all the white smoke [/quote']
