Front discs

Featured Replies

what size are the standard octavia vrs front discs?

and i have heard that putting 312mm audi tt disks on is a good upgrade.

now how do they fit as the standard ones are smaller? different calipers or spacer brackets or what?

just wondering how these things work?

thanks

Standard Octavia (Mk I) brakes are the same as the 312mm audi tt discs.

fair enough. thanks for clearing that one up for me.

feel a bit of a prat now.

thanks again

If you want more stopping power, then try Ferodo DS2500 pads, or Tarox fast road pads. Coupled with uprated brake fluid, this really does make a difference.

It's the caliper mounting bracket that does the job, it's longer to accomodate the larger disks. Same calipers, same pads.

If I were you, I'd go for the uprated pads first (Gerry, :bonk:) that way if your still not satisfied you can upgrade to the larger swept area items (TT).
