Another immobiliser problem !??

Featured Replies

I recently brought an N reg 1.3 Felicia Petrol.

Worked fine for a couple of days, but the battery was a bit low so I replaced it with a new one.

It now turns over fine, but will not start.

There is a red light flashing on the dash, and the hazzards flash for several seconds if I go into or try to start the car.

I have both keys to the immobiliser unit and it is switched off (when I switch it on the alarm sounds as well as the hazzards) but I do not have the remote fob.

As this is an old car I dont want the expense of going to a dealer so diy solution would be most helpfull and Im quite happy to remove the immobiliser altogether if someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Terry

nightmare mate you the immo code read do you know any auto locksmiths

or shops that read immo/radio codes

if you can get the code read your half way there but you will need vag com or an auto locksmith to use the AD100 system to reprogram your key

just been thru this with may wifes car (s reg ibiza) cost me £210 in total to sort out had to go to main dealer after numerous attempt with vag com and locksmiths

your lucky as you still have a key we had one but it had no transponder

let me if i can answer any more question i quite a bit about this

btw it wont work just ripping out the immo i thought about that but it tied with ecu

Defo a re-code of the keys to the immobilizer. Did wonders for me. Cost me 30quid at the deeler.

You wont be able to bypass the immo due to its integration with the engine ecu, you will need to get the keys recoded, its a lot cheaper than you think at the dealer.
