Featured Replies

hi has anyone got any knowledge of the wiring diagrams for the 1.3 r reg felicia , i have inherited bare ended wires and an old stereo to practice on . the previous owner obviously just ripped the last one out, also what adaptor kit/ iso kit. I dont facy paying halfords

i have a wiring diagram from the haynes manual but its to big (just) to upload onto this

if u want i can email it to you it is readable with the key as well as all the colours of the wires

1. Red = Switched Power Feed

2. Yellow = Permanent Live Feed

3. Black = Earth (0v)

4. Orange = Lighting Feed (not used on most radios!)

5. Blue = Power Aerial/Amplifier switch wire

2x Green = Rear Left Speaker (if fitted)

2x Purple = Rear Right Speaker (if fitted)

2x White = Front Left Speaker

2x Grey = Front Right Speaker

Having just done a re-install...

My wires (1996) were as follows:

Red - Constant live

Brown - Earth

Yellow - Not required

Black - Not required

Blue(+) and Brown(-) - Front left speaker

Green(+) and Grey(-) - Front right speaker

Corresponding colours with black stripe for rear speakers (but don't go anywhere)

Looped a switched feed off the fan...

ok so I have bought a kenwood 4 channel 848 amp, kenwood kdcw7031 headunit and have got a 12"sub and 6x 9's just waiting on wiring kit.. thing is I have bare wires left there from the last a$$hole who took stereo out so , which wiring loom iso connector will be right to by from the shop ? So I can sort these wires out then plug and play :-)

I have never used an ISO adapter, think they're a waste of money, but useful i guess if you wanna put the old head unit back in ever...

As you've only got the bare wires, you'd have to get your hands on the old stereo iso conection for an adapter to be of use... I tend to use a connection block and wire them up that way, they make a secure connection and are easy to use (and v cheap!!) Also handy cause you need to connect the amp trigger wire up as well, and this wouldn't be in an iso plug...
