Car insurance renewal

Featured Replies

 I now have 5 yrs NCB and no points, yet my car insurance never seems to drop below

Is my area really that bad??

Yes, although I can trump that with an M15 postcode. Last year I had to swap my car insurance from manchester to whitehaven for a while. The 'haven' is not a nice place either but it still lowered my annual premium from £800 to £500. I'd guess M30 (Eccles?), Manchester will have a lot to do with it.

£366 , CH2 area , accident last year but protected no-claims , 41years old and no points

so its not been too bad for me

where is M30 these days ? yes i know its M/cr somewhere

try getting married :)

Mine's just come out at a smidge over £600. Not all that bad, but with me living in one of the best areas for car crime, and having 3 years no claims, it seems a little much. I guess you can't put much of a price on their cover of my modifications though. :)

does seem a little high...mine's a bit less than that with around 4 years NCB and only having my full license about 18 months. it's only a 1.8 Focus, rather than anything badged as "sporty", but that is with me paying monthly and I do have mods declared and my postcode starts with OX4.

Well, I'm an EX7, which is categorised as one of the lowest ever. I have no qualms about leaving my car unlocked overnight / radio in etc etc.

[senses a few people heading down to EX7 at night to test that out] ;)

is there somewhere we can check your postcode?

Just to make you all feel a little better - The 'Young ones' e.g. me and kev have to pay at least 1,500 on insurance alone :S

Stupid VRS and insurance saying drivers under 25 are unsafe... what rubbish :P
