i got an email sent to me this morning off my mate who wants a delivery report sent back.

It's to my home adress which i get a copy off in work trouble is i clicked to send it back but i can't send from home adress in work so its now trying to send every time outlook does send/recive

it doesnt show in the outbox and it s screwing up my send and recive with errors about sending how can i shift so it's gone

Can you not delete the original email in your work PC?

I think the error on your work PC is that the sending of the receipt is attempted via your home ougoing mail server which it can't connect. The sending of receipts aren't logged in the outbox which is why you can't see it.

Maybe try working "offline", load up outlook and then delete the original email.

Err is it Outlook or Outlook express ?

is it a pop3 email account its coming from ?

yeah im in work and i set up the bt account i also set my ntl home account which i can recive email but not send i got the mail from a mate who likes his reports and ticked to send one back without thinking now its stuck in outlook

are both the accounts pop3 accounts or is one an exchange account ?

ntl doesnt seem to like me trying to send from the bt account

TOOLS

EMAIL ACCOUNTS

VIEW OR CHANGE EXISTING EMAIL ACCOUNTS - click next

Click on the default account - click change

Take note of the SMTP address

then type/paste this into the other accounts SMTP box.

Then try a send and receicve. any more help let me know.

thats been gently annoying me for about 3 weeks now cos i leave outlook running all day and kept getting the error message

No worries, anytime.

yes you can send and recive from both accounts now.

I have the same setup at home, i recieve from 3 pop3 email accounts.

When you click new message you can select which account. See pick.

A new message is always from your default account. You can set either account to be default.
