Possible electrical issue

Featured Replies

This morning when I went to my Superb all the doors were unlocked and all the windows were down. I thought someone had broken into my car. However it started OK and all the windows went up OK. I am 100% positive that I locked it last night and I never leave the windows down.

Is anyone aware of any issues that could explain this. whilst my son forced me to look at Skoda I am now a convert. My superb is brilliant, very roomy, very fast (even as a diesel) and a great overall very economical drive.

I would appreciate any feedback that you can give.

Kind regards

John Smith

It's worth getting that checked out, it may have had water ingress into the locking mechanism, this can make it behave as if you have the key in the lock turned left (or right, I haven't used it for ages) which unlocks the car & opens the windows or does the opposite, depending on direction turned.

Is the car still under warranty? If so I'd get the dealer to sort it for you free of charge.

PS Welcome to the site

I'd agree with WW, although I wasn't aware that the key could open the windows!
