Featured Replies

at the moment im running a standard occy vRS

But its booked in this month for a jabba remap the new mods before it gets done will be

Blue flame cat back system

Decat and downpipe

Fmic

Forge dv 007

4bar fuel regulator

Carbonio CAI

And obviously the jabba remap

A calculated guess would be around the 230bhp mark, but it vary's a bit from car to car and RR to RR!.

Well I have more or less that setup minus the FMIC as I have no real need here in North Wales for all of the 10 days of hot temps we get, adn the 4bar regulator.

<------ Thats what I made, with a map for 98ron and a boost controller.

about 240jabbhp, about 210bhp elsewhere :)

oh now now mr bengie

just going on experience my friend, when remapped my car gave results of 226bhp and 256lbft yet after fitting a turbo back exhaust it never made more than 203bhp either at different rollers or on vagcom.

but how could they artificially inflate your results? what was tip-ex'd out on the print out again...:rubchin:

Nothing like a little temperature related tweaking ;)

where was yours remapped?

Mine with a Milltek cat/downpipe, CAI, Supersprint exhaust and Star Performance remap made 231 bhp/251 lbf like below :):)

I got 214bhp with a remap....228bhp with turbo back exhaust, CAI and map.

These are prefectly feasible figures...especially the map figure....pretty much what the turbo manufactuer says the turbo can produce.

Never had the mapped tweeked with the FMIC.

280-340bhp with the IHI depending on boost.

At the end of the day it's easy to say one tuner is better than another....you can go on a rolling road and proove or disprove figures....you'll be happy one moment and not, the next.......

Of course it's natural that you want to know that you're getting what you paid for.....but what is that?

It is also important that you are happy with what you got and that you can trust the people that you had the work done by.

If you want a template of how the site will go if people keep on like this...go check out MLR.

yeah fair point Adrian.

as long as your happy with how the car drives forget the RR figures dont worry about them :)

:iagree: but some tuners can't tweak figures due to the type of RR they have, on a decent MAHA RR they have sealed sensors for air temp, air pressure, humidity etc that have to serviced by the manufacturer in order to be quality assured so the tuner has no say what so ever in what the dyno reads, but some tuners don't have RR's like this :)

where was yours remapped?

Jabba
