I am having to have my engine rebuilt and am just waiting for costs to come back. Has anyone done this recently and if so what sort of costs were incurred.

I know I am in for a shock but want to compare prices before I need to get bread and water in time for Xmas dinner

Can anyone who has done this fill me in and what needs to be done etc.

depends on what your having done tbh mate, if your going for uprated low comp pistons and rods etc then you could have a very large number infront of you as rods alone can cost 1k supplied, then add some decent pistone, new bearings, new seals, labour etc etc and you could easily be looking at 3k i'd say. just to get my head rebuilt by a garage i'm looking at a few hundred quid and if i want minor porting and flowing done whilst i'm there a grand is easily spent :(
