5 days work...

Featured Replies

Went to Skoda dealer with my fabia today to say water was leaking in back doors.

I was told the car has to be at dealer for 5 days Mon-Fri.

Is this standard length of time for new door seals? Its actually really annoying me, I have to notify my insurance for use of there courtesy car.

five days sounds a bit excessive to me!

also they should have thier own insurance which will cover you

i had my door seals and rear carpets changed and they also managed to remove the rear bumper straighten the brackets and re fit the bumper and i had the car back same day at 6pm!

Five days sounds like they dont want to tell you they wont be able to work on it for a couple of them or they are going to keep it inside and dry it out!

Best way of doing the latter is rent a small dehumidifier (cost me £20 for 2 days) and stick it in the boot with the parcel shelf out.

Some dealers do cover it. If a dealer made me pay extra to use one of their cars while my one was undergoing warranty work, I'd be looking at other dealers :D

I couldnt get a courtesy car from my Skoda dealer when I had warranty work as they said I was too young for their insurance (18) :(

Then they should reimburse you the cost to insure their courtesy car on your insurance while the warranty work is being carried out imho! :D
