06 stutter + PD160 intake upgrade

Featured Replies

Any 06 stutterer had the PD160 intake upgrade and noticed a diff to the stutter. My old Mk3 GTi ran sweet as - when the air box & throttle body was cleaned up - just a thought that the extra air might help too?

i dont notice any difference to mine at all

Well mine has one and thinking about it I havent noticed it stutter in ages, dont know if its a coincidence or just that I have over 5k on it now.

Mk3 Gtis (and late Mk2 8v)ran awful digifant injection. Cleaning the throttle body, breather pipes and sensor connections was vital. Airflow wasn't really an issue

Yup - the whole lot needed a good clean. Tell ya what - carb cleaner is genious stuff - just make sure it's all gone before you start up though!

From time to time I clean up the idle sensor thingy on SHMBOs clio. Runs like a sewing machine afterwards!

Airflow was an issue ;) in that if your pipes were bunged and clogged - no air was getting through ;) (only really bad clogging on oil breather - so it's a mute point!) That oil breather pipe had a nasty habit of splitting too. Seen a few splits on that.
