Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone tell me what the two red triangles at 30km and 50 km are for. Photo attached. Our Skoda dealer couldn't tell me. Tks

They are simply there to be more visibile. :)

They don't represent speed limits for your country, do they? I remember the Corsa I learned to drive in had little red lines at 30 and 60 (mph) for that reason...

They are indeed to clearly mark out specific speed limits.

In Belgium for around schools = 30km/h and town/ city centre = 50km/h.

Best to stick to them...

Cheers

They don't work then... I've never noticed them before :thumbdwn:

Ah , but different countries don't all have them

Do UK spec cars have them?

Nothing more true than this. In Romania the law says: minimum speed, inside town and outside is 30km/h (if you go below it's illegal and can obstruct the traffic) and the maximum inside town 50 km/h (if you go above this is overspeeding).

Wish we had minimum speed limits... :( Only really get them on bridges and the like.

There is also sound signal associated with these two triangles in some countries...I guess it´s Syria e.g. You can try to activate it via VAG COM. :)

About the VAG COM: it cannot do miracles. My Fabia has central locking but no remote control with the key. I tried at Skoda service to make some changes but they told me that the software installed in the car's computer is another version that does not have all the features.

In Turkey we have max 50 km/h speed limit in city centre, but no one stick to it :(
