Set off my Tracker today...

Featured Replies

Got a phone call on the mobile (hands-free, of course) about 30 seconds after setting off for work this morning - seems the tracking device in my car tripped and alerted the control centre. Might have been related to the fact that the light inside my glove compartment's been playing up recently. It's fixed now, but the light would sometimes flicker on and off if the road was bumpy, and this apparently caused a power surge which set off the Tracker. VERY embarrassing! :o

Spent the rest of the trip expecting to be pulled over by the 5-0, although they assured me that it wouldn't happen, as I'd confirmed to them that the car hadn't actually been nicked. Suppose it's a good thing, although I'm not sure what'd happen if I wasn't able to confirm that the car as OK. Presumably they have some sort of "no-response" time limit...?

Oh, BTW, before any smart-ar$es say anything, you can see if the light in the glove compartment's on in a Fabia, as some light shines around the footwell vent onto the floor of the footwell! :P :D

Good to see the system working
