Fabia VRS Rattle doing my head in, help!

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2005 VRS, love it is to, but I've had from new an annoying rattle, almost a ticking sound coming from what seems like the headlight dial.

Now I've had Skoda look at it twice, and nothing... I've taken the headlight switch-pannel out and cannot find anything. Infact I think its not that what is doing it, its something very close to.

All I know is if I put my finger and apply a good amound of pressure to the surround of the headlight pannel, it stops.

I've tried everything... using bluetack, silicon rubber, and it doesn't stop it... can anyone help me?... what is behind there?

If by 'headlight dial' you mean the light switch on the right hand side of the dash, I suggest you remove the plastic panel from the end of the dash (facing the door), and spray some WD40 in the area of the steel bars/bolts you can see through the aperture. This cured a nasty creak/rattle coming from the same area for me...
