Poor dealer service

Featured Replies

Hi all, sorry this is going to be a long rant for my second post :o I have a 53 plate Fabia 1.4 16v its only done 18k in 3 years. I put it in for a service and MOT on the 23/11 as its 3 years old on the 29th, all fairly normal until I picked it up and was handed a bill for

The new brakes all round and labour for it did it with that bill.

With the tyre, its prooving it was there fault.

Hope you get this resolved.

Did you give them permission to carry out all the work and get a costing up front? I'm always wary when I'm told the car needs this and that above the service schedule and will usually delay and get a 2nd opinion, unless I know it needs doing.

As for your current situation, a call to Skoda CS to outline your problems with that dealer and what you would like done about it, would be a good way forward, imho. Skoda will be able to apply a bit of pressure on the garage, especially if they want to be seen to be valuing their customers :D

Having had Skodas for over 25 years I have noticed that the personal touch has gone from dealers. When they were small family run they often did things and then said no charge.Since VW have taken over and the dealers get bigger premises I get charged for every thing.Still if you want the best car on the road I suppose I will have to pay for it.

I'm sure we'll all let you know when we own the best car on the road... It certainly doesn't have a Skoda badge
