What Car video

Featured Replies

Just watched it, i don't agree with the handling bit, my Superb handles fine and the steering is A LOT heavier than my Audi A4 was. Both had stock suspension and 18's on 35-225 tyres but the Audi was a bit more nimble round the old twists and turns.

Pretty fair review I thought. Nobody buys a Superb for good handling, but the extra weight of the 6 cyl engine ahead of the front axle makes it pretty grim - the 4 cyl versions are better.

rotodiesel.

What do they compare the handling to, a go-cart, a golf GTi, its a luxury car its gonna have soft suspension! Personnally i've never had so much fun throwing such a large car around, only car i've had that handle better was my Octavia and so far i've own 11 cars athough i must admit most were vauxhall's (talk about body roll) so not much to compare it too!!!!

I'd go along with that Bryan. Had a month of Superb driving and loving it. Mixture of M/way and North London streets. Handling is fine and steering is nicely weighted. As you it is real fun throwing such a large car around. Coupled with sheer VFM very happy bunny. MPG creeping up as well. As a regular What Car reader you do notice they stick with a theme for a car even when, maybe, might have got it wrong at the start. BUT consciously bought the car for comfort to take stress out of commuting so didn't want a numb bum GTI ride and handling. I'm actually starting to wish my commute was longer and that is totally nuts !!

I thought that was a pretty poor review.

I think the steering is very light in comparison to our Octy 2 and all cars depreciate whether it be the 1.9 or the 2.5

On a car this size and as most of us on here find is that diesel of any variant on these monsters is the most sought after
