i was offered good money for my old rs and now purchased an 04 reg mk1.

only trouble is it hasn't got cruse. ive heard it can be done, you have to make your own loom for the cruse. i was just wondering if anyone has done this.

also does the break peddle and clutch peddle still cut off the cruse, as it does on me old car.

any help would be great.

There is quite a lot of info out there which is primarily for the Golf MK4 but in the main will apply to the Octy MK I.

Yes the pedals will deactivate the cruise.

Got my cruise control fitted by my local Skoda dealer, they made up a section of loom, fitted and suplyed the switch gear (indicator stalk) ordered the connectors and hey presto - cruise control! Whats more cost 200 quid, thats 50 quid less than if I'd requested it to be fitted from new!

The main benefits include not messing up your warranty and they can plug it in to the computer to activate the program which lays dormant within the ECU.

Was very pleased with the result and would never have a car without it now, MPG has increased also
