Hi, I'm new to the briskoda forums but i'm looking to buy a Fabia VRS in the next couple of weeks, and i have a question.

I have a JVC KD-AVX2 head unit from my last car which i must say is awsome! and i will be wanting to fit it to the VRS. From what i can see there will be no issues wiring it in, and with the right adaptors there should be no issues.

However a couple of the cars i have seen have a 6 disc changer fitted as standard, now for the hard part..... does anybody know if it is possible to link the JVC to the OEM 6 disc changer? and if it is, what do i need to do this?

Purely because it seems like a waste not to use the changer if it is there, but worst case i have to stick with the giga mp3's

I think you'll find that while it's possible to use a different brand changer with the skoda head unit the panasonic built (skoda) cd changer won't work with any other head unit so I don't think it will work.

It's been raised before so have a search, hopefully someone else will be along soon to confirm or trash what I just wrote! .

Just on the off chance... if you decide to swap the OEM changer out let me know as I may be interested.

the skoda changer will never work with anything other than a skoda stereo sorry.
