Tyres again, no not advice.

Featured Replies

Had to get some new tyres for the Octy as the fronts were all on 1.7mm and the rears on 2mm.

After much discussion at the tyre place I have used since I was 17, and know everyone that works there (they wont rip me off and give me a decent discount) we decided to replace the oem dunlop tyres with... Michelin Primacy HP's in the correct 205/55 16 size.

Initial impression on these tyres, well they are quieter than the worn out Dunlops and seem to have better traction, which is no suprise considering the lack of tread on the old tyres. No they were not the cheapest tyre out there, but driving 400+ miles per week I needed something I could trust.

I know its to late, but who else has tried these and how long have they lasted.

I run the Pilot Primacy's, have a set of four on at present which replaced my original Bridgestones. Found them great to date a lot quieter than the Bridgestones but that isn't hard. Got them from CostCo at a great price on offer at the time.

Have had one set of Bridgestones and 2 sets of primacys on our 2.0tdi. At 90something thousand miles now.

Prefer the PE2's myself, but heard good things about the PP supposed to have a good life on them, the PE2 and the HX MXM which they replace certainly last well.
