Insulation Pipe Warranty Problem

Featured Replies

The insulation pipe on my Fabia has slightly cracked so the dealer ordered a new one 2 weeks before the manufactures warranty ran out, it as taken over 6 weeks to arrive meaning the warranty has run out. Took the car in today and only half of the pipe as come:thumbdwn: so will have to wait again. The service manager asked me how was I going to pay so I told him the car was still under warranty when the pipe was ordered, since the job is not necessary, Skoda UK might not want to pay up.

The new pipe might cost me £300 which I should not pay, but since the job is not really necessary it might. Should I stand my ground.

as the fault was picked up and parts were ordered before the vehicle warranty had run out , i would expect the dealer to do the job without making you pay

who decided that the insulation pipe was faulty ?

what is an insulation pipe ?

Mate i would push to get that fixed because AC pipes are approx £150 from the stealers. If anthing is picked up prior to the warrant been expired then they repair full stop. You have all the details that should have been raised by the service department and parts for the claim, so the ball is in their court.
