Comodo Software Firewall - Any good?

Featured Replies

I noticed in another thread Kentish mention Comodo Firewall. I recently read a good review of Comodo.

I have always used Zone Alarm, but wondered how many people use Comodo, and how they find it?

Thanks

Chris

I have never heard of it, so cant comment.

Completely naffed up my pc and i had to remove it before i could access shares. the settings on it were fine to allow all applications and it still blocked any access to our workgroup.

sygate all the way, although i personally never use software firewalls. We have a hardware one on the router.

I have used it, and still do on some installs as it is free.

I have not hit any problems with it yet. I now use Kaspersky as it has received the best reviews.

I found zone alarm caused problems on a number of machines and is quite resource intensive.

I have Comodo firewall on my desktop and 2 laptops. It has a very good support forum, and help if needed is easily available. Welcome to the Comodo Forum - Index

It took me a little while to fully understand it as it is very secure. However the time spent was worth it. Further discussions on Comodo firewall can be read at Wilders Security Forums - Powered by vBulletin and

I guarantee it isn't to everyones liking, nor will it suit everyone. However it is a secure firewall that when fully configured is a very good defence.

Best thing is. it's free and will remain so.
