Bulbs Blowing!

Featured Replies

Hi

Over the last 2 months Ive replaced my passenger side brake light buld 3 times. Took car in for a service and now the brake lights are fine the passenger tail light has gone and the dipped headlight has gone but all the bulbs are ok. I have tried the bulbs in the other lights and the work fine. Anyone know possible fixes the very helpfull dealer cant get me in for another week and Im sure something else will go in the meantime.

Cheers

Rich

fuses blown ?, fauty earth/power to the bulb holders ?

Fuses are fine. How can i check the earthing? Sorry total novice to electrics

if you've got bulbs not working in one holder but working in another , you will need to check for corrosion on the bulb plug/socket , also check for power there with a test lamp or multimeter

also if the bulb is working in another holder that assumes the main earth to lamp unit is ok so you can only really have a fault where the bulb doesn't work
