Yep, thats me mate. Kenny was telling me all about your Furby at the Glasgow region ScottishVAG Christmas doo on Saturday. Sounds gorgeous, if only I had the money available just now you might have had a sale.

Thanks for all the comments guys, was surprised to log on tonight and find 2 pages, really appreciate your responses. Looks like yellow is an acquired taste then, with black or silver being the safest bets.

Been looking at a few 2nd hand ones and its appears that red ones seem to go for slightly less money, which makes red a bit more appealing, although dont fancy my chances in keeping it for long before it got written off if my past red car experiences are anything to go by.

Does anyone know of fading paint issues with red and yellow vRS's, as my old red Polo began to turn pink after 4 years old.

I think lots of red cars can fade, but a good clean and polish can bring it back, and if you look after it it wont go that way in the first place.

Here's some before and after shots of my old Felicia which was rather pink when I got her!

Black looks classy when clean. You just need to keep on top of them.

I am always cleaning our cars, but I don't mind when you see the results.

I've just ordered a red one

I do hope Wayne (or was it Jason) gave you a good deal,:) and did you order any optional extras? They couldn't give me a build week when I went there, but have first dabs on a special edition.

Have to say just bought my VRS about 2 months ago and went for black, was initially going with red but have had a red car in the past and really fancied the black.

If you are purchasing for your pleasure then choose a colour you really want but if you are buying with re0sale in mind black or silver are the way to go. Personally when looking to buy mine i looked for black or silver and dismissed all the other colours.

Of course that is my personal preference though!

Ps what a fantastic little car, could not be happier!!!!!

Silver - the number of double takes / admiring glances I've had in one week is amazing.

Funnily, though the car is 1ft + smaller than the Cavalier it replaced, because of the colour it appears twice as large on the drive.

Love the fact that not many people know what it will do - the young uns seem to know though.

Overall, mega Bullitt car, really really impressed.

I wanted a yellow one, but an unexpected job change and loss of my company car meant I had to have one from stock and I ended up with a black one. The new Sprint Yellow is much nicer than the older yellow colour, which I always thought was too green.

The 'demonstrator' I drove (actually the dealer's wife's car) was yellow with black alloys and it just looked amazing.

The difference in resale between a black one and a yellow one is going to be ~

I'd go for the Yellow too , either Lemon or Sprint. I do not understand why , as a top of the range car, the vRS is limited to only 4 colours though , I can't see how it would make Skoda's life any harder if they offered all the Fabia colours on the vRS!

i was looking at the yellow as its a bit different and stands out a little more, however the mrs was having none of it and talking to the peps on here went for a black one in the end just to be on safe side

mines a silver 1 which seems to be the most common colour in my area, also look good in black i think but hard to keep clean

Got to be silver - they have such a 'presence' in this colour.

We call ours the 'Beastie' - we open the garage door and, hey presto, it just seems to leap out at you.

Dealt with Wayne originally, but Jason finalised the deal as Wayne was out watching Snow Patrol, apparently!

Said build week 6 for me, red, with cruise, CD changer, and Xenons.
