Adding side airbags, EDL and ASR onto Ambience model Octy? Possible?

Featured Replies

Can you make an Ambiente model into an Elegance model by adding side airbag seats, EDL and ASR - is this at all possible?

You mean Retrofit? Not a chance.

If you mean by adding options then maybe but I suspect there is more to it.

Possible?

With enough time and money you can do anything....

Worth it?

No chance it would cost far less to chop the car in against a newer one with it already there than to add it due to the number of parts that would need completely replacing and that doesn't even think about the labour costs.

Yes I ment Retro fit. Thanks

Side airbags would be the only possible one by fitting Elegance seats and any appropriate wiring that may be required.

But as others have said - not really worth it.

Excellent!

So has anoyone fitted side air bag seats? Any more info on how this is done?

It would require seats from an elegance with side air bags, that the wiring looms are in place and you would need to get the ECU coded to deal with it.

Seriously it will be cheaper to chop your car in for one with these features.

Sounds to me like you have your hands on a salvage car and are trying to piece some bits together.

Messing with airbags is fecking dangerous and certainly isn't advisable to start trying to add them to a car that wasn't fitted with them.

Save yourself the grief - leave it alone.
