Strut Brace in 2006 vRS

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted a strut brace in a 2006 vRS ?

There seems to be loads of gubbins (thats the technical term) on top of both strut braces, and not sure if it will fit ?

Cheers

RBW.

It will.

Takes about 25-30 mins to fit, as it is a slight bit fidddly. The jury is still out s to the effect, but it looks good at least.

Takes about 5 minutes to fit. All that's involved is 4 bolts and the removal of the box.

5 mins my @rse. Takes that time to collect spaaners etc pick up keys, walk to car and open bonnet...

25-30 mins  5-10 mins tops even for a mechanical numpty like me

Chris

Just don't tow anything with it, and you'll be fine.

The fiddly bit tends to be moving the vacuum box gubbins out the way to allow easy access to the suspension bolts on that side of the car. But that's only a 56 minute job - 4 screws from memory - then 2 bolts on each side of the car.
