Rear Wiper Fault

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an X reg Fabia with a rear wiper fault. When I push the wiper stalk away from me or engage reverse gear whilst the main wipers are on I would expect the rear wiper to activate. It doesn't.

The history behind this relates to a bike rack I had on the car which uses an arm onto the rear window to steady itself. It was raining and I needed to reverse out of a parking spot so the rear wiper activated. It then struck the bike rack and stuck there. It hasn't moved since.

Any ideas?

so what your saying is , that the rear wiper doesn't work ?

check the fuses first , if they are ok you could of burnt the motor out when it was stuck

Yeap, it don't work.

Where am I looking for the fuses? Any idea as to which one it'll be?

fuses are behind a panel on the R/H/S of the dash , accessed with the door open

as to which fuse it is , best look in the handbook , if you have one or it may say on the cover you remove to access the fuses

Thanks for the help. Had to wait a few days for the local garage to reopen and got me a new 10A fuse to replace the burnt out one in slot 32. All works fine now.

Cheers!

cheap repairs are always the best repairs

halfords or any motorfactor would of sold the fuses i'm sure
