too early to say, really!

But, first impressions are - it's pretty easy to use for a novice to SLR cameras like myself..... I managed to take a couple of pics and download em to my pc without any problems, so the bundled software works

I've pretty much managed to work out what the buttons do without reading the manual as well, lol..... suppose the proof will be when I've had it a bit longer and played about with it a bit more!

So far tho, I like it

I've been having a bit more of a play over the last couple of days.... not all the pics have come out as well as the first one lol but I'm coming to grips with what the camera will do! Have already discovered the limitations of the built-in flash...... I think possibly a better flash will be one of my first purchases, maybe even before a bigger lens!

Haven't used RAW yet cos I'm still getting used to the camera, so what I'm doing so far, JPEGs are fine I think this is my favourite one, taken at my mum's on xmas day! Quincy loves having his photo taken...

Gonna have to clean the car and go out and take some pics that aren't of four-legged furry things soon!

Yep, I am currently shooting in RAW, just because I am also playing with the conversion software bundled with the camera.

I did have a look at jpeg file sizes, and they arn't too bad.

I only ever shoot in RAW with my 350D. I would rather do any manipulation myself after putting the shots on the pc rather than letting the camera do some previous to the pc.

Stop it, all of you. I'm trying hard to keep my credit card in my pocket and avoid buying a 400D. I keep telling myself that i don't NEED a 400D. I keep thinking that I can't afford a 400D.

Ah yes, the same stock lens. I use mine purely for wide shots now, as I have a Tamron 28-75 f2.8 as my general lens. Much sharper and great with that constant f2.8:thumbup:

yup, I'll look at getting a 'better' lens at some point in the future... but for now the stock lens will do, until I work out how to use it properly
