stereo

Featured Replies

I just took the stereo out my octavia and replaced it with my old stereo (a blaupunkt mp74) however the cd changer no longer works. my question is... is the cd changer in skodas not blaupunkt like all audi vw and seats? as if this is the case then it should work with my head unit or do i need an adaptor. any ideas?

IIRC, the changer is made by grundig. As far as I can remember, I don't think there ever was an easy way to control the OEM CD changer with a different head unit. :(

Do a search, you may find some useful info :)

The changer is panasonic, and although it will plug into your hu they are not compatible. I dont think anyone here has found an aftermarket stereo that can control the oem unit. Your only alternative is to source a blaupunkt one.

I though all VAG changers were panasonic (as far as VW and Seat go anyway).
