iPod FM transmitter...

Featured Replies

Anyone any recommends for a decent quality adapter for an iPod Nano to transmit the audio via VHF/FM to the car stereo? Ta.

Santa's sent me an iPod so I'm just about to put things to the test:)

I got a Belkin Tunecast 2 from dabs.com the other week and it works well with a Walkman in the car.

Another vote for the Belkin Tuencast. You can set the frequency that suits you rather than choosing from 4 preset ones that you get if you buy a cheap unit from fleabay.

Cheap

I got a griffin for my girlfriend, fits right on the top, dosnt need batterys, works straight away, cant fault it

i have a griffin one... doesnt work at all well in an SLK - wonder if its all the metal roof mech between it and the aerial.

I saw one of these in Tesco yesterday which looked a lot neater than the Tunecast.

Cool, thanks for the replies

Had a griffin, was a pain in the backside. I've got a cheap one from motorworld now and it works much better.

To be honest i would recommend the one I have...

XtremeMac AirPlay2 for all Dock Connector iPods + Free Car Charger for iPod Video,iPod Nano 2G,iPod Nano 1G ,iPod Mini,iPod Photo/4G,iPod 3G at iBitStore. XtremeMac’s new sleek and sexy FM Transmitter - the AirPlay2 is a perfect slim fit for the iP

I've heards so many bad things about the griffin.

Its perfect size for the nano too.

I've tried the cheapy ones from ebay aswell...even though they have a stronger transmitter, however they don't send all the sounds frequencies. Sounded very tinny to me!

Just my 2p worth!

David has a Tuncast2 & the white DC adapter that powers both iPod & FM transmitter, from the same cable.

It works a treat, once you find the best frequency.

I have just set up , my PSP with a tunecast, & DC power adapter, but having to change the dc power for the tuncast as it generates interference. Belkin customer support have been Very good & are sending a replcaement FOC. :)
