Oh oh, when in third gear in the 06 vRS, dipping the clutch then releasing it sometimes brings forth a short grinding squeaky noise from the engine bay. :eek:

Anyone else had this? Looks like venturing to one of the far away dealers (still nothing on the South Coast to replace Saltdean group ) is on the cards.

how hard are you accelerating when you get the noise ?

i seem to remember a thread about a similar noise , you might have to do a search to find it , might be clutch noise or intercooler pipe noise

Not hard, feathering the throttle is the term I think. Only in third gear it appears to do it so perhaps I could assume not intercooler pipe noise? Thanks...

Clutch noise, hmm. Wonder if it's that and if it is whether that will be warranty (16k miles since March - didn't have this on the old vRS...).
