To go with my suspension question asked earlier i think i will be going for some eibach springs, How easy is it to change the springs ?

I have got some spring clamps so this is not a problem...

Backs are a doddle. Fronts are reasonably easy if you have the VAG tool to open up the bottom of the hub (?) and pretty annoying if not

We used a chisel but it was a right PITA. The VAG tool is only a couple of quid and I'm sure vRStu has posted up a part number for it somewhere.....

Found it in a matter of seconds So relatively easy job with this tool then.... Anybody done a guide !?

Fuse for glove box light?

The light in the glove box has stopped working. I know the bulb is okay, and I’ve used a multimeter across the contacts on the connector which is showing no voltage at all. Going through the list of fuses, the glovebox light fuse is not listed separately or even as a part of other lighting. It would be useful to know the correct fuse and if any other items also tie to it, since everything else works fine and it can narrow it down to the switch. Thanks in advance!

Having issues with the p2196 engine code. Code reader reads bank1 stuck so had it replaced today by a garage and its clearly new but after 30 miles of her eating fuel like ive never seen before the engine code has come back on with the same code. Only had the car 3 months but it has got egr and dpf delete so could this play a part into why this code is recurring or could it be electrical issue. It definitely has electrical issues as it tells you to check numberplate lights that are clearly worki

Hey guys, Sadly it's looking like my Octavia days which have been pretty brilliant could be at an end, unless I can find a replacement engine. Looking like a blown head gasket/cracked/warped head so it's not driveable now and boiling away (95C+ even without the thermostat in). It's also had a burning engine oil issue for years. It's a 110 ASV engine. So my options are: Say goodbye to my brilliant Octavia ☹️ Try and find a replacement engine, throw it in and hope. Downsides are obviously the

I ran SVM TOWAB with Odis S yesterday and it went through and updated, coded and adapted a bunch of modules. But when I tried to pull a trailer today it didn't recognize it, parking sensors beeping and emergency braking in reverse. What could it be?

A few weeks ago I noticed a blow coming from exhaust so a quick trip down to my local centre, it needs a new mid and rear sections 1z0253609ah and 1k0253209eg but they cant source either part, turns out both are heavily lacking aftermarket support and zero stock of oem in the UK. I even had a exhaust parts specialist on the case and nothing. So the last 2 weeks I've delved deep into info about fitment. The ccza and bga 2.0 tfsi petrol vrs octavia does share the same exhaust from the cat back. Yo
