How much oil to use in an oil change

Featured Replies

So we covered what oil to use and it turns out - GTX Magnatex is the best to use.

The question now is

If i drain all my oil - How much oil should I use to refill

Its a 1.4 MPI 2000 Comfort - Petrol

Help appreciated.

I am trying to figure out how you came to that conclusion?

Chris

In your manual it does list the sump capacity of the engine. If it doesn't list the capacity with filter then add about 400ml

Hmm - I dont have the manual so cant check..

Any ideas from people who got their oil changed recently?

Discussed in a different thread - Basically GTX was identified as being the best all round - Easily obtainable plus dealer reccomended

There are two capacities depending on the engine;

1.4 OHV 44Kw AZE and AZF - 4 Litres with filter

1.4 OHV 50kw AME, AQW and ATZ - 4 Litres with filter

1.4 DOHC 55Kw AUA and BBY - 3.2 Litres with filter

1.4 DOHC 74Kw AUB and BBZ - 3.2 Litres with filter

Knowing me I would have actually used five.
