Whos Got TVDRIVE?

Featured Replies

For the people who have Telewest TVDrive (or NTL)

What do you think of the picture of both SD and HD?

Ive heard its still buggy as hell (its still officially a trial)

stories of people having their box's crash every day.. and the fact there isnt really enough HD content to justify it at the mo

I am looking into one of these so would be interested to hear any opinions too

First day we had it it took 4 hours to update both units

Had a couple crashes the first few days but since then menu side of things has been ok.

Anyway dont really care about that. More interested in peoples thoughts on the picture quality. At the moment I'm not too impressed. Have a Samsung r74 32 inch and a LG 32inch. I find it funny how freeview on both lcds has better picture compared to the SD channels. On the Smasung the picture is very grainy. Not convinced its the LCD as 576i/P dvd is spot on.

I'll let you know when mine comes.;) Only on crt I'm afraid.

I've had this for 10 months now and only last week received my 6th TVDrive box. Full of bugs but it is gradually getting better. SD channel quality is excellent but as of yet HD content is thin on the ground. We have BBC HD test channel and that is it with the exception of some pay per view HD films. If you are looking for a HD platform then Sky HD offers far more and at a better quality.

Not fussed about HD. Just want a good SD picture.

Think a phone call is getting made.

SD is perfectly watchable so you'll not go wrong with the TVDrive.

Yes its watchable but freeview has a better picture

My TVDrive arrived today.

The picture into a normal, 32" widescreen TV via RGB scart is very good.

The fact that On Demand no longer works is poor but on the whole impressed.

On Demand works without any problems for me on my TVDrive.

Same here no problems on my TV drive. Did crash almost instantly when set up :(

Had to reset mine a couple of times.

On Demand works without any problems for me on my TVDrive.

Are you ex-Telewest or ex-Ntl?

Telewest, NTL users maybe do not have access to OD yet.

With my previous box I had access to OD.
