Symphony Replacement with Blaupunkt MP35

Featured Replies

This is more of a heads up than an actual problem.

Just interesting to note that the MP35 actually works with ignition in off position, this is misleading and even though I made up a cable to sort the swapped cables issue actually then left them the wrong way around!

The cables as always advised are switched, but rather than only responding to ignition, it also comes on without ignition. Some of us like me might mistake this for thinking the cables are switched incorrectly.

They are not. I checked the car wiring vs the MP35 and red to yellow and vice-versa is the right way, this "behaviour" seems typical of this stereo.

One to watch out for if you accidentally leave it "on" while the car is "off" if this is possible.....

Anyway it does respond to ignition and turn the radio "off" when the car is turned off, so its obviously a strange trait to this radio. Or maybe I got confused and the car was actually in the Ignition "1" position...but I very much doubt it.
