Car Mats

Featured Replies

Sorry, this is really basic stuff but just got some Octavia car mats with plastic screws. Are there supposed to be corresponding holes in the floor or do they just screw anywhere into the floor?

they screw into anywhere, just line up the matt, mark the hole and they screw in underneath the matt

Thanks I'll try it tomorrow when I can see what I'm doing.

Thanks - same problem for me (I,ll wait until tomorrow too). Bit disappointed that my ivory trim didn't have any (mat) protection when it arrived from the dealer. Not quite as disappointed as having to wait for a week for a handbook!!!

yeah you just screw them into the carpet below. Just put the mats in where you want them then mark the holes with a little bit of tip ex or something. remove the mats and screw the little stub things into the carpet. Just pop your mats back in and drop the holes over the stubs (studs whatever) and twist the heads.

I just got the dealer to do them before i got there! Don't fancy pluggin holes in the carpet.

Anyone know if you can buy the "studs" separately. I left mine in the car when I got rid and now I have mats and not fasteners..

I also needed new ones. When I wrote to the supplier of my mats asking the price they just put a couple in the post to me without charge.
