Featured Replies

 hi i have a problem with water running in my

boot not the gutter when i open it.

is there a trim i could get or will i have

to make them myself

take it easy cheer's

don't you just hate this?? I know I do  , not sure there's much you can do, it's a common problem with most modern hatches that don't have gutter-edges to channel the water..

It's a very common problem on Octavias.

Some people have "fixed" it with a bit of silicon sealant on the edges

Or I believe the other option is to open the boot slowly.....

noooo :( doesn't work for me.. especially if the galss and paintwork are clean/waxed and the water is beaded, there's so much water that needs to run off it has nowhere to go but off the edge :( . I've tried brushing the worst off before I open the tail, but still goes in.

Its a feature, they even included it on the mk2

It is nice to know all the best bits are included on the mk2 then :-) Fortunately I have an estate so I miss that pleasure... I just get the fabic grab handle the gets in the boot rubber seal when closing and therefor sucks in damp spray from the road.....

Guess you could carry a water blade in the drivers door card for this purpose.
