Performance Clutch & Flywheel

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Looking for a replacement performance clutch and flywheel for my 02-plate Octavia vRS. I'm running nearly 230bhp / 275lbs/ft torque so need something capable of handling the power. Any suggestions?

Cheers :)

275lbft?

i have a saschs uprated clutch and lightened and balanced G60 flywheel on mine.

is the Mk1 vRS flywheel dual-mass? What are the "conventional" options to fit in it's place?

Thinking about it, I'm not sure what a dual-mass fw does.. :o except that they are f.expensive. Anyone care to explain the "benefit" ?

they ahev a dual mass as standard but my lightened one is a solid item.

the dual mass bit makes for a smoother power delivery.

And less cockpit vibration.

Hi

Yes you can do the G60 conversion

We do the standard ish one at £320.00 + VAT or you can do the uprated Helix one for £488.07 + VAT

Easily done , but as has been said it can give you a bit more vibration in neutral

The G60 flywheel is a single mass one and will be lighter than standard too

Has this any effect on tick-over?

I can understand "faster pick-up", but tick-over ,,,,,,,,, emm.

mine ticks over fine wayne :)

mine ticks over fine wayne :)

His name is not Wayne it's Albert.

It does give a slight vibration on tickover , but not enough to make it bad we have done loads of these

Have a look on the Awesome section on here for an offer we have at the moment on a 5 speed clutch
