Demo version - Shouldnt make a difference ....?

Yes because if you had a full version you could get support from Ross-Tech.

Did you have the ignition on?

Definitely had the ignition on. But of course no lights on dashboard again.

Do you have access to another VAG car to try it on?

Failing that it could be something interupting the communications or k-line.

Why can't I get VAG-COM to communicate at all?

Now I get this when using VAG COM:

Too many communication errors to continue

See scrrenshot..

Ideas?

Just installed VAG - COM .

See file attatched -

However when I went to test any of the modules - ie Radio / Immobiliser - It ket comin back to me saying Controller Not Found

Are the radio and the immobiliser both Skoda Original Equipment items? If not, Vag-Com won't find them.

Assuming that the lead is plugged in correctly and fully, will an AutoScan for a Fabia find any of the controllers (with the ignition on)?

They are both original Skoda kit

Do you have the com port setup correctly in windows?

Go to 'Device manager' (via the start menu, right click on my computer, select properties, select hardware & then device Manager)

Select view, devices by type.

Go to ports and check the USB serial port is set to Com 1,2,3 or 4. If not then select properties/port settings/advanced and select com 1,2,3 or 4.

Now select the same port within VAG-COM :)

I tried this and it makes no difference - Currently it reads COM 3...

Any other possibilities?

Are you sure you have both set to com 3, within windows and on Vag-com?

Is the ignition is switched on?

Are you using the correct version of vag-com v409.1?
