Octavia Price Increases

Featured Replies

Hi,

Happy New Year to everybody.

I notice from the SUK website that Octavia prices increased by 1% on New Year's day :thumbdwn: .

I placed my order for a vRS in November and am expecting delivery in Feb - do Skoda dealers generally pass on these increases for cars already ordered, or do they tend to absorb the increaces themselves?

Thanks

R

If you signed on the line with a price there they can't go back on it

That is what I originally thought, but looking at the T&C's on the back of the order form, the dealer can pass on any increase, but, if they do, then I can cancel within 14 days and get my deposit back.

1% isn't a huge amount but when you have worked hard to get the price down to an acceptable level it does feel like an easy way for the dealer to get back some of that money I thought I would be saving  .

but on the other hand the rate of inflation is around 3% so an increase of just 1% is surely not too bad.
