Dave, I don't think anyone is saying it's wrong to criticise but maybe the way you have come across in your posts is not very tactful. Of course freedom members are going to stick up for what they (and I) believe is a very worthwhile cause. It is a site for Skodas but as others have said it doesn't mean that other car owners are not welcome but the sharing of knowledge, advice and information is obviously going to revolve around Skodas. I fail to see why you would want to pay for a service that is not based on your car and therefore wonder why you seem to have such a problem with just making that decision without all this hype that seems to have occured.

For what it's worth I joined freedom not because of gimmicks or freebies, but because this site has been a god send to me in the form of people helping me out when I was researching whether the Fabia vrs was the car for me, and the ongoing support since owning one.

Do you make this much fuss every time you have a choice to part with money?

Can we give this all a rest now!

Stop being childish and showing yourself up on a public forum...

Sound's like a peice of advice you could do with following yourself.

This still going on?

TBH I thought in the Freedom thread DaveG40 was treated quite badly having made what to him was a genuine inquiry. This seems to have spiralled from there...

I'm not just saying that for the popcorn factor either.
