Hello to anyone who maybe out there. My name is Morley I have an Octavia vRS on a 53 plate. I have covered about 68,000 miles from new and am now considering doing some of my own maintenance to keep running costs down.

I am probably due a variable service in about 4,000 miles, I expect a cambelt change is about due, the breaks need doing and I need a new lamda sensor! So keep an eye out for me as I am going to need your help!

I notice you've posted in the Octavia forum about the brakes. I'm not an expert but am wondering about the cambelt. I think the recommended change time depends on the actual engine type, so perhaps you could post that also.
