I'm looking to get a remap done on my Fabia Vrs but everywhere seems to be down south but I found this on ebay { eBay.co.uk: SKODA SEAT FABIA VRS OCTAVIA IBIZA LEON TDI TUNING (item 130064210315 end time 09-Jan-07 17:45:45 GMT) }. Has anyone used them?

Most are actually quite far up North from where I live

Depends on where you live and what you class as "down South" or " up North" !

Depending on how far North you are how about Star Performance for instance ... . ??

To be honest I would spend more money on a well known company like the people who sponser the site.

Reason being your cars worth alot more than a cheap remap. Check REVO out and see you they have a dealer around you. Think they charge around £350 now.

Or look at a tuning box if you'd be happy with 160ish bhp - removable so your dealer need never know

Tuning box? I saw them on ebay but I thought they were some cheap gimmicky thing. I'm based in Cumbria but i'm in Glasgow next week on a course so I might have a wander to Drivers as they are Revo distributor. They look a well established company and I don't want s cheap botch job that knackers my car.

I can tell you of one place in west yorkshire (halifax) which uses the same stuff as Jabba.

hi. i got my 100pd tdi remapped to 145 bhp from that place on ebay. it has made a substancial difference to the car. its a very cheap alternative without having to change anything else. i am not a boy racer and i mainly did it for the comfort and economy(coz it lets me change gear much earlier), but if i do put my foot down, it pulls like a train and would beat a standard vrs. it all depends how rich you are!!!

also, i did have a tuning box, but it only felt like an extra 5-10bhp instead of 25.

also, from the place where i got mt 100pd re-mapped, they said re-map loads of vrs's normally.

mine has a superchips re-map, was done when it was in for its 20000 mile service at the dealers, plus superchips cover most of the country.

Noticed the differences straight away

Wow , 2nd gear just run away with me......yahoooooo

3rd the same and 4th just wanted to pull and pull

I was averaging approx 56 to 57mpg and even playing with the extra power i returned 61mpg :eek:

Was impressed , which does not help my bank balance after christmas :(
